Apparition Poem #1644 (Adam Fieled)

Oh for the sentience of books,
Kant once said, or should have,
and if he didn’t it is difficult for
me to accept his critiques, as they
hinge on acknowledgements of inward
sentience of beings, and books are
beings, even as they are-in-the-world.
As for this, this is action poetry, but
I have no intention of driving my car
into a tree, unless I feel the tree has
so much sentience I would benefit
from the action, & I don’t doubt
that this could be the case.
